Summary
FOCUS Orange County (FOCUS OC) is a branch of FOCUS North America, a faith-based national organization that provides employment, housing, healthcare and educational services to the homeless and working poor in America. All of FOCUS North America’s services are provided without discrimination of any kind and there is no faith commitment required from anyone who receives assistance. FOCUS’ goal is to sustainably transform the lives of the homeless and working poor, moving them from dependency to self-sufficiency.
To support established center programs, FOCUS seeks to hire a Director for its center in Orange County, California (FOCUS OC). This is a full-time position. The Director is responsible for the overall management of the FOCUS program in Orange Co. including compliance with all financial and commodity management and reporting requirements of FOCUS and any applicable donor agencies. The Director reports to the national Executive Director and is the primary liaison with FOCUS, local volunteers and the local Orthodox communities.
Responsibilities
· Oversee implementation of all FOCUS program activities in the area including weekly meal service/delivery.
· Scheduling of volunteers and weekly outreach activities and maintain records of volunteers
· Establish and maintain relations with local Orthodox parishes, the nonprofit community, corporate and foundation grantmakers and any relevant community development groups.
· Research and develop new funding opportunities.
· Assist with communications across platforms: social media, website and newsletters
· Maintain records of Gift-in-Kind (GIK), and assist with generation of monthly reports
· Provide assistance with special projects as needed
· Pick up weekly food shipments from the OC Food Bank
· Implement FOCUS policy decisions.
· Participate in the FOCUS strategic planning process.
· Develop annual center operation plan and budget.
· Develop project proposals according to the mission of FOCUS.
· Supervise preparation and submission of all financial reports.
