Position
A new position in 2016, the Maintenance Manager reports to All Saints Camp Manager and is responsible for all facility and grounds maintenance, supervising a staff of 2-3. This is a salaried, seasonal position, May through August/September, ending date negotiable based on availability. Housing, and meals during encampments, can be provided for applicants living outside of the Emlenton, PA, area.
This is a unique opportunity to serve God and Orthodox Church and grow in the faith in a beautiful, rural setting.
Responsibilities
Manage all Camp Maintenance Requirements
- Continually monitor condition of facilities and proactively recommend maintenance as required.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff engaged in maintenance activities; as required, undertake maintenance duties on projects.
- Recommend maintenance projects outside of staff capabilities for completion by vendors/contractors. Inspect all completed work.
Maintain Grounds to the Highest Standards
- Proactively maintain grounds, ensuring they are kept clean and neat, reducing the risk of danger or injury to persons using grounds and facilities.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff engaged in grounds maintenance activities.
Manage all Administrative Functions with regard to Maintenance Employees
- Be available, or have maintenance staff available, during all times when campers are present for emergencies.
- Monitor employee performance and train as required.
Prepare All Saints Camp Prior to the Opening for the Season
- Prepare grounds for season.
- Inspect all cabins and buildings and paint when necessary.
- Inspect and make necessary repairs on all doors, screen doors, windows, floorboards, rafters, plumbing, porches, roofs, etc.
- Prepare all equipment for in-season use.
Close All Saints Camp at the End of the Season
- Inspect all cabins and facilities and prepare for winter.
- Prepare list of all maintenance required.
