Assists the Food Service Manager/Head Cook in preparing and serving nutritious meals and in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving and dishwashing areas.

Organization
Celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2018, All Saints Camp in beautiful rural Emlenton, PA is the summer home for programs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Camping Ministry of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States.  All Saints Camp is home to programs for Orthodox youth through 18 years of age as well as hosting encampments by outside church and youth organizations every summer.  The camp’s 95 acres along the Allegheny River are a rustic spiritual retreat, with the church activities centered in the beautiful Saint Thomas Chapel.  Considerable recreational activities are available as well, including a large swimming pool and basketball and tennis courts.  Located only 80 miles north of Pittsburgh and minutes from Interstate 80, All Saints Camp provides a haven where youth can grow in their Orthodox faith and enjoy healthy outdoor summer activities in a safe, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
1)  Assist in the daily operations of the camp food service.
2)  Assist in the preparation of food as the menu indicates including washing and peeling.
3)  Set up food, supplies, and utensils for dining hall distribution and food serving.
4)  Place and serve meals as directed by Food Service Manager/Head Cook.
5)  Prepare and maintain beverages, salad bar, condiments, snacks and other items as directed.
6)  Store food and leftovers at proper temperature.
7)  Assist in routine sanitation of the kitchen and related equipment.
8)  Clean and maintain all food-preparation, serving and storage areas.
9)  Wash all dishes, serving and preparation equipment, and utensils according to regulated washing methods and temperatures.
10)  Reduce waste, reuse items, and recycle as indicated through the camp’s procedures.
11)  Ensure kitchen laundry completed on regular basis per procedures.
12)  Monitor kitchen and dining hall trash cans and empty as needed and placed in areas per ASC policy and procedures.
13)  Work as a member of a food service team.
14)  Complete assigned tasks with other kitchen team members quickly, accurately in a courteous and professional manner.
15)  Participate in kitchen training as provided.
16)  Assist with receiving/storing food orders per requirements.
17)  Maintain a polite, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times to provide quality customer service to encampments.
18)  Maintain a clean and professional physical appearance.

Other Job Duties
1)  Assist with maintaining other camp building kitchen areas as required.
2)  Assist with receiving/storing of food orders as needed.
3)  Assist in recording inventory.
4)  Assist with daily distribution/returned food counts as needed.
5)  Follow and adhere to all ASC policies and procedures as provided.
